The Fateh Jang Tehsil:
Fateh Jang is tehsil headquarters of Attock District in the Punjab province of Pakistan. It is located nearly 25 miles southwest of Islamabad, Pakistan, on the Rawalpindi-Kohat or the Rawalpindi-Mianwali road.
The new location of New Islamabad International Airport is on the Rawalpindi-Fateh Jang Road and its construction has already started. Fateh Jang town is the headquarters of Fateh Jang Tehsil (a subdivision) of the oil-rich Attock District. It is in the National Assembly constituency from where Ex. Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz was elected before taking oath as Prime Minister of Pakistan. It has a police station, a tehsil headquarters hospital and separate intermediate colleges for boys and girls.
There are a number of development works underway in the town. The road passing through the town towards Kohat has been widened and cleaned. The local population is very friendly and welcomes the new purchasers of plots in the town. There are great opportunities for the upper middle class of Rawalpindi/Islamabad to buy plots for themselves here and secure their future.
Land Particulars:
This land gradually rises from the main link road via a dirt road to a slight elevation, which gives it a very majestic view, in the sense that it overlooks the village Gandakas and its vast expanse of open spaces. It is very windy, which makes it cool even on hot summer days.
The land has partially been developed and is ideal for agriculture and livestock. Since this is an arid land, small rain-fed dams have been constructed for the purpose of irrigation. The largest dam holds 20feet of water, in this hot and dry season. Fish species like silver carp were introduced 5 years back, and about 2 mounds were harvested last season.
Crops such as wheat, mustard, maize etc. have been harvested before in the past years and areas for their fields have been prepared and developed. Apart from crop harvesting, flowers such as tube-roses and gladioli have been cultivated and harvested on this land. To provide greenery to the area, a variety of fruit trees and other indigenous trees have also been planted.
The local Government has made a Sohan Dam at a distance of some 2 kilometers and this dam would provide a tributary cto our land.
The Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock is giving many incentives to Livestock, beef, mutton and milk development, ventures. This land is ideally suited for this kind of activity, as this area is away from population and thus less prone to diseases and pollution.
Two rooms, a kitchen and bath accommodation is built, along with a big area built up area for livestock, a shed for a tractor and another fenced shed for sheep. Two wells have also been bored for sub-soil water.
We use solar panels for lighting purposes, but electricity is available at a distance of one kilometer.
